- Cilacar 5mg tablet contains CILNIDIPINE 5 mg which belongs to a class of medicines called calcium channel blockers which are primarily taken for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina (chest pain). Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a lifelong or chronic condition in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery walls becomes high. Higher this blood pressure, harder the heart has to pump.
- It may also be prescribed to prevent angina (heart-related chest pain)
- Cilacar 5mg Tablet’s most common side effects headache, Nausea, Abdominal Pain, Swelling, Fatigue, sleepiness. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them.
- Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any liver, kidney, or heart problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor for advice before taking this medicine. You also need to tell your doctor what other medicines you are taking, especially those used to treat high blood pressure or heart conditions. You should have your blood pressure checked regularly to make sure that this medicine is working properly.
- Cilacar 5 Tablet's contains Cilnidipine, a calcium channel blocker that acts by relaxing the blood vessels. This reduces the workload on the heart and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Thus, it helps to lower high blood pressure, reducing the chances of heart attack or stroke.
- Take the medication with or without food as the dose and duration prescribed by Doctor. It may be taken with or without food. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take it at fixed time.
