- Cifran 250 mg tablet contains Ciprofloxacin 250 mg which belongs to a class of medicines called antibiotics used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is prescribed for the treatment of pneumonia, gonorrhoea (a sexually transmitted disease), typhoid fever (a serious infection that is common in developing countries), infectious diarrhoea (infections that cause severe diarrhoea), and infections of the skin, bone, joint, abdomen (stomach area), and prostate (male reproductive gland).
- Cifran 250 mg Tablet’s most common side effects headache, Nausea, Joint Pain, Change of the heart Rhythm & Rashes. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor for advice before taking this medicine. You should not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Rarely, some people may have a severe allergic reaction which needs urgent medical attention. Signs of this include rash, swelling of the lips, tongue, or face, shortness of breath, or breathing problems. Special care should be taken in people with kidney problems while taking this medicine.
- Cifran 250 Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them.
Directions of Use:
- It may be taken with or without food as the dose and duration prescribed by Doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take it at fixed time.
